Hand Woven Metal Sculpture
Textile techniques are traditionally worked with fibers such as linen, cotton, silk and leather. However, Chrissy Glenn applies her knowledge of textile weaving and forging metal to create unique “one-of-a-kind” wall tapestries. She painstakingly weaves by hand large sheets of copper and brass, making “ribbons” that she then molds onto trunks of trees to capture the texture of the natural world.
